PRALUENT® 75 mg is a once-every-two-weeks injectable medication indicated for the treatment of high cholesterol levels in adults. It is used in combination with other lipid-lowering therapies or alone in patients who are statin-intolerant or for whom a statin is contraindicated. PRALUENT® is a human monoclonal antibody that works by inhibiting proprotein convertase subtilisin/kexin type 9 (PCSK9), leading to increased clearance of low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) from the bloodstream.
