SAXENDA® is a prescription medication developed by Novo Nordisk, designed to assist in chronic weight management. It is indicated for adults with a body mass index (BMI) of 30 kg/m² or greater (obesity), or 27 kg/m² or greater (overweight) in the presence of at least one weight-related comorbidity, such as type 2 diabetes, hypertension, or dyslipidemia. Additionally, it is approved for adolescents aged 12 years and older with a body weight above 60 kg and an initial BMI corresponding to 30 kg/m² for adults.
