Wegovy® 0.25 mg is the introductory dose in a once-weekly injectable GLP-1 receptor agonist therapy designed for chronic weight management in adults and adolescents aged 12 and older with obesity, or overweight individuals with at least one weight-related condition (such as high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, or high cholesterol). Each single-dose, prefilled pen contains 0.25 mg of semaglutide in 0.5 mL and is intended for use during the first 4 weeks of treatment to help minimize gastrointestinal side effects during dose escalation.
